Holds a PhD degree in Industrial Information Systems by the New University of Lisbon. He is Auxiliar Professor at the New University of Lisbon, Faculty of Sciences and Technology, and Senior Researcher at UNINOVA institute. He is graduated in Computer Science by the New University of Lisbon, with MSc in Operational Research and Systems Engineering by IST. He is leading the UNINOVA-GRIS (Group for Research on Interoperability of Systems) integrated in the UNINOVA’s CTS (Center for Technology and Systems). His research activities have focused on Standard-based Intelligent Integration Frameworks for Interoperability in Complex Systems, covering System’s adaptability in evolutionary and networked environments, architectures, methodologies and toolkits to support improved development, harmonisation and implementation of standards for data exchange in industry, from design to e-business. He has been technical international project leader for more than 15 years, with more than 80 papers published in conferences, journals and books. He edited 4 books, and is project leader in ISO TC184/SC4.
Senior Researcher at UNINOVA Center of Technology and Systems (CTS), he holds a PhD in the area of industrial information systems by the Faculty of Science and Technology of the NOVA University of Lisbon (FCT/UNL) and has an MsC in Computer Science from the same school. He is deeply involved in the areas of Product and Process Meta-modeling, Interoperability and Knowledge Management since his participation in projects like CEN/AIDIMA/2002/004 funSTEP AP-DIS and IST-2001-52224 SMART-fm. He is quite experienced in research and coordination activities due to his work in several national and international research and development projects in UNINOVA since 2001, where he developed skills in the areas of standardization, model-based and semantic interoperability applying MDA/MDI technologies. Currently is research is targeting dynamic environments and how principles from complex systems can contribute towards a self-sustainable interoperability.
Senior Researcher at UNINOVA center, he graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering, he also has an MsC in Computer Science, and holds a PhD in the area of industrial information systems of the Electrical and Computer Engineering, all by the Faculty of Science and Technology of the New University of Lisbon (FCT/UNL). He is deeply involved in the areas of Knowledge Management, Ontologies, Semantic Interoperability, and eTraining since his participation in projects like IDEAS (IST-2001-37368), INTEROP (IST-508011) and CoSpaces (IST-034245). He is quite experienced in research and coordination activities due to his work in several national and international research and development projects in UNINOVA since 2001, which contributed to the publication of more than 40 research papers in recognized international journals and conferences.
Senior researcher at UNINOVA center. Holds a PhD degree in Industrial Information Systems by the New University of Lisbon, an MSc in Computer Science and a graduation in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He began his professional career has a consultant at Deloitte. He has worked in the Integration, Development and Infrastructure area of the Management Solutions division. has a consultant he participated in several National and International projects for the industry in several areas: Telecommunications, Finance and Energy & Utilities. Later he has integrated the UNINOVA research group, collaborating in several EU projects, such as FP7-612329 ProaSense, FP7-318452 MobiS, FP7-234344 CRESCENDO, FP7-216420 CuteLoop, FP6-34245 CoSpaces, FP6-507849 ATHENA and FP5-32035 ProdAEC. His primary area of expertise is related with KSEM (Knowledge Science, Engineering and Management) fundamentals; Business and IT service activities.
Has completed her graduation in 2001 in Electrical and Computers Engineering at Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT/UNL). She developed her Master of Science in the area of simulation methodologies to control distributed systems of road traffic management (FCT/UNL, 2005). In 2012 she obtained her PhD degree by FCT/UNL in the area of decision support systems for life-cycle management of industrial plants. She has published more than 15 papers in international peer review journals and conferences. Since 2003 she has been working as a researcher with strong coordination responsibilities in several international research projects at UNINOVA. Her main focus is in the area of decision in industrial environments, developing work on the topics of intelligent decision support systems, reasoning methods and expert systems, in the scope of European projects InLife, K-NET, EnPROVE, LifeSaver and DIVERSITY.
Senior Researcher at UNINOVA, Holds a PhD on Computational and Perceptional Systems from Electrical and Computer Engineering and has a MSc in Biomedical Engineering both by the Faculty of Science and Technology of the NOVA University of Lisbon (FCT/UNL). His main areas of interest are those that relate Engineering with Health and Human Sciences. He has being involved in research projects in the Aerospace domain FP6-AEROSPACE- 502917, FP7-234344 CRESCENDO and health applications inlcuding knowledge management and clinical research on cancer and Brain studies FP6-508803 BIOPATTERN NOE, and advancements on Manufacture and Shop-floor production, FP7-213031 iSURF, FP7-604674 FITMAN. With two books published on computer Science and more than 20 scientific publications, he is teaching for more than 15 years and he keeps is research activities focused on Futuristic Engineering, Knowledge Management and Cognitive Sciences. 
Has a degree in Environmental Engineering, and presently she is developing a master’s degree in the field of Renewable Energy - Electrical Conversion and Sustainable Use. Since January 2010 she is working with UNINOVA as a research assistant assuming coordination and dissemination activities in several Projects such as the UNITE FP7-ICT-2009-4-248583 Project, where she had the role of Virtual Front-Office coordinator (2010-2013). She has also been involved in several dissemination activities of the group and, in particular, the organization of conferences and project meetings. She has developed skills in the areas of Project Management due to her work with other several European Research Projects. She has also worked as manager in the area of mobile telecommunications, with activities related to quality assurance, training and projects coordination.  
Researcher at UNINOVA center, he has an integrated master degree in Electrotechnical Engineering and Computer and he is taking the PhD in the area of industrial information systems at Faculty of Science and Technology of the New University of Lisbon (FCT/UNL). He is involved in areas of Self-Sustainable Interoperability, Interoperability Monitoring and Assessment, and Multi-Agent Systems, participating in national and international research and development projects in UNINOVA since 2011.
Is a PhD student at FCT/UNL and researcher at UNINOVA. He holds a MSc degree in Computational Logics from Technical University of Dresden. Currently he is working on the project Future Internet Technologies for MANufacturing industries (FITMAN), which focuses on applied future internet technologies in several manufacturing sectors. He has experience of working on several software engineering projects when working in various international software companies. His field of interest is Formal Models, Knowledge Representation and Service Systems. 
Is a researcher at UNINOVA center, she has a MSc in Economy, namely in the Business Enterprise area by the Lusíada University of Lisbon. She is currently a PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering by the Faculty of Science and Technology of the New University of Lisbon (FCT/UNL).  Her main research area is related to Business and Technical Validation of ICT Projects, which includes topics like: Requirements Analysis, eTraining, Technology Assessment. She has also experience in science parks business area, mainly due to her past working experience at the “Park of Science and Technology of Almada/Setúbal”. She has contributed in international research projects such as “IMAGINE” and “OSMOSE”.
Is a researcher at UNINOVA centre and has an MsC in Electrotechnic and Computer Science Engineering. Deeply focused on the areas of Knowledge Management and the Semantic Web since 2009 and in the Internet of Things since he started at UNINOVA, he has been working on several academic and research projects, namely FP7-ICT-318452 MobiS, FP7-ICT-288315 PROBE-IT and FP7-ICT-612329 ProASense, and he was a Technologies and Gadgets collaborating columnist for two magazines: PARQ and DIVO. He also has been an entrepreneur since kid, participating on the creation of Toys Forever Web page, winner of several international prizes and awards, such as the Microsoft Pick of the Week (May 1997), and winning the first place award on the INOV.POINT and Tagus Valley Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Projects Contest (Abrantes, Portugal) in 2009.
Is an Informatics Engineering MSc student at New University of Lisbon and System Administrator at UNINOVA - CTS center since 2014. Currently also supporting the project Future Internet Technologies for MANufacturing industries (FITMAN) as a developer. His field of interest is IT Security, Computer Networks and management of information systems and/or services.
She is a researcher with a degree, Master  and an Advanced Specialization Diploma by Instituto Superior Técnico  of Universidade Técnica de Lisboa. Her principal research focus is e-learning. She has developed research in the Human-interaction, in Accessibility and Predictability Models and Multimodal Interfaces. Has experience in project and belonging to teams, and also experience as a teacher at Instituto Superior Técnico. Recently she has been participating in the projects ACACIA and AQUASMART, both at UNINOVA research Institute. 
He is a researcher at UNINOVA, and a PhD student in the Computer Science Department at FCT/UNL and also at NOVA LINCS Research Lab. His research is focused on Visual Analytics area with focus on spatio-temporal data which involves modelling, data mining and visualization (mainly through maps). He was involved in the GeoInsight Analytics Platform project (Nr: 24822 of 2012) co-funded by NSRF and leaded by Novabase. He finished his degree and MSc in 2008 and 2010, respectively, in computer science from FCT/UNL.
Carlos Lopes holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science and Engineering and is currently developing a master's dissertation at NOVA University (FCT/UNL) in the field of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning. He has developed his skills as a researcher and systems analyst in the fields of geographical information systems and data integration within the private sector before joining UNINOVA in June 2016 as a researcher.
Junior Researcher at UNINOVA center since October 2016, holds an MsC in Electrical and Computer Engineering by the faculty of Science and Technology of the NOVA University of Lisbon (FCT/UNL). He has developed his master thesis within “OPTIMUM” EU research project, and is currently supporting the project. Which focus is to provide state-of-the-art information technology solutions to improve transit, freight transportation and traffic connectivity throughout Europe. He is involved in the areas of data interoperability, big data processing, mining and visualisation.
David is currently developing a master’s dissertation at Faculty of Science and Technology of NOVA University of Lisbon (FCT-UNL) in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His integration and development skills were mostly extended on the private' telecommunications sector where he collaborated as a solution engineer in several countries for the past four years. He’ve joined UNINOVA at September 2016 and since then he has been supporting “C2NET” project as a developer. David’s interests focus on Cloud services, administration and systems integration.
